May 12 Michael Jackson Vince La Causa Contro La ITV I'm not sure whether this is known about at all, but just in case people hadn't heard about it, I thought I'd write a few things about it.
I went for drinks (a few!) with an Executive Producer at ITV yesterday and we got talking about Michael Jackson and the infamous 'Living with Michael Jackson' documentary. Anyway, I was trying to explain (while being very careful as she's very high up and my boss) that I felt that the way it was edited was done in such a way that it made Michael look bad. She disagreed saying there was a lot more footage that 'editors felt would be unsuitable for public viewing'. I tried to ask her what this meant but she just gave me a look. I asked if she thought Michael was innocent and she strongly disagreed saying she saw the footage that wasn't shown. I had to bite my lip here - I told her i'm 100% Michael was innocent but I respected her opinion. Anyway, I didn't know this but Michael took ITV to court and my boss had to go to it (lucky girl i say but then again, if Michael is suing you then maybe not!). It was a VERY expensive court case and eventually Michael won!!!! Basically he was saying that the documentary could not be shown as prove in the accusations about molestation. As a result, all of the footage for the documentary is the most secured footage (tapes etc) in ITV and is in some kind of safe that no one can enter. She may have even said they were being guarded by someone. I asked if ITV could ever show the documentary again and she said legally they could, but since it got them into so much trouble, they won't. I thought it was written into Michael's contract that he would be shown the programme before it aired, but my boss said 'no, that was never in his contract'. Surprisingly Michael hates ITV and Granada for what they did (hope Michael doesn't see my CV then as they are a good company and i've worked for them several times!) and as the Exec Producer told me, ITV shall never make a Michael Jackson documentary again! Anyway, not sure if people knew all this, but thought i'd share it with those that didn't. It was really interesting listening to her and although I had to restrain myself especially after what she said about Michael being guilty, she told me details that not many people know. A quanto pare Michael Jackson ha vinto una causa, molto costosa, contro l'ITV per il montaggio del documentario. PrettyYoungThing ha detto che come era stato editato era chiaramente fatto apposta per screditare Michael, ma la sua boss dice di no (lei sostiene che è colpevole) e che c'erano altre scene che non sono state messe in onda perchè non adatte alla pubblica visione, nonostante in realtà abbia perso la causa, lo show è stato screditato ed è stato vietato di usarlo come prova, e quel documentario ha causato tanti problemi e non lo manderanno più in onda, non solo ma la casa di prouzione non farà più nulla riguardo a Michael Jackson. Non solo ma le registrazioni del documentario sono segretissime, adirittura c'è gente che le custodisce.
