February 22 Sony contro BillboardI capi di SonyBMG si sono molto arrabbiati dopo che Billboard, la nota
testata americana che stila settimanalmente le classifica di vendita in
America, si è rifiutata di riconoscere “Thriller 25th”di Michael
Jackson le credenziali per essere considerato come un nuovo album.
L’edizione del venticinquennale dell’album più venduto al mondo è stata
infatti considerata dall’istituzione come una ristampa e collocata
nella catalog chart, mentre i vertici di Sony pensavano che la nuova
edizione venisse considerata come un un lavoro originale e quindi
finisse nella Top 200. L’album contiene nuove collaborazioni con artisti del calibro di Kanye West, Akon e will.I.am così come una nuova canzone di Jackson.
